Hello! My name is Mark Hertz, and I developed a deep love for baseball at a young age. Indeed, I vaguely recall participating in my very first youth league match when I was just 3 years old. Why am I drawn to baseball? It’s essentially a thinking man’s game, requiring you to keep your head up and strategize between pitches, outs, and innings.
I loved playing baseball as a kid because you could do so many tiny things, like hit a long ball into the seats, see your best friend get that perfect hit, read the minds of your opponents, catch a hard-hit drive in the outfield gap, and more.
After playing the game a lot in high school and college, I picked up a lot of tricks and strategies that aren’t immediately apparent to new players.
Though how much would it cost for new baseball players to employ a personal coach? Honestly, not all young parents have the financial means to do so.
I had to learn this lesson the hard way because there wasn’t much information available when I was younger. It’s one of the main reasons I wish to use my site to impart my knowledge. With any luck, this small endeavour will guide eager young players through the formative years of baseball play.
